Nevada Democracy Project

In partnership with each other and every community in Nevada, Vegas PBS andThe Nevada Independent are coming together in a new media initiative focused on civic engagement and inclusive community conversations. The partnership aspires to close a widening gap in Nevadans’ understanding of and engagement in local and state government.

As part of the Nevada Democracy Project, Vegas PBS andThe Nevada Independent will team up for regular community listening sessions and from those conversations will seek to understand community needs and provide in-depth news coverage on the channels of both organizations. Residents of Nevada and members of the media are invited to the first community listening session:
