Election Overview

Residents of the Silver State will again get a chance to help decide the next leader of the United States this February, as Nevada again hosts early nominating contests for Democratic and Republican presidential candidates.

Unlike 2020, Democrats are moving away from a caucus and will hold a presidential primary election on Feb. 6. Nevada Republicans will hold a caucus to allocate their delegates on Feb. 8. But because of a new state law, Nevada will also hold a presidential primary election for Republican presidential candidates on Feb. 6 — two days before the caucus, and with results not binding to how the party allocates delegates.
