Did Nevada Rep. Mark Amodei last host a town hall for the general public in 2017?
Yes.

Rep. Mark Amodei (R-NV) last hosted a town hall for the general public in 2017.
A review of Amodei’s archived press releases shows his most recent public town hall was held alongside former U.S. Sen. Dean Heller (R-NV) in Reno in April 2017 and focused on health care and immigration.
Amodei has hosted other town halls since April 2017, but they were held for specific groups such as military veterans.
In response to questions about whether Amodei last held a town hall in 2017 and why he hasn’t held one since, Amodei’s office pointed to a March 2025 interview where he spoke about his decision not to hold town halls.
“Town hall is now a code word for, ‘Let’s go bully the sh– out of somebody in public,’” he said.
